The Inspiration Behind Soar

“I created SOAR in memory of my Uncle Johnny and my best friend’s mom, Anne. This project is very personal to me. I wanted to help others grieve but also enjoy their favorite memories of their loved ones. SOAR is a gift you can give to your friends, family, or even to yourself to relive your best memories and watch them come back to life.”

The Start

On February 15, 2023, I lost someone who meant the world to me—my Uncle Johnny. This loss was unexpected and life-changing for my family and me. About a month or so after his passing, I was listening to a song in the car and started to play back memories in my mind like a memory slideshow. It was almost like I was watching and feeling my best memories again in my head, and I had a thought...what if I could create something like this in real life?

The Inspir"A"tion

Anne, my best friend Erin's mother, was the original inspiration for this project. Anne was unique and loved our friend group like one of her own. After her passing, I had this feeling of wanting to give Erin little creative pieces to show her the best memories with her mom. When I would make a video or creative piece, I would always tell Erin, "I feel like your mom gave me this idea." SOAR became an idea because Anne inspired it. I truly do not believe that is a coincidence. The "A" in the name SOAR represents Anne, a dedication, a thank you, but most importantly, a way to honor her forever.

The Purpose

Since I was little, I viewed my family as my purpose. The reason to keep going, be courageous and continue our legacy. My family taught me the purpose of loving others, and both spiritually and creatively, made me who I am. They had left such an impact that losing them felt like I lost a part of myself. Yet, I have been blessed to be loved so strongly by beautiful souls who have created the best memories for me. I decided to take all of their love and put it into a project that brought others the same feeling. I believe SOAR is my purpose. To bring others back the love they experience with their family and friends and have to cherish forever.

I created SOAR to help others heal. The gift of SOAR is a special moment you can provide to your friends and family that I hope helps to aid in your grief while also experiencing the joy, the great feelings, and the power of love from those you miss most.

SOAR is not just an experience; it is how I want you to feel. When we lose someone, we sometimes feel we lost our wings. I hope this helps you fly again.
